The Whatnot AutoPrint browser extension is designed with privacy as a core principle. It operates entirely locally on your computer and does not collect or transmit any data to external servers.

The extension:

  • No data collection: The extension does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information
  • Local processing only: All processing happens locally in your browser
  • Local communication only: Communication is only with your local desktop application (localhost:7778)
  • No external requests: No network requests are made to external servers
  • No tracking: We do not track your browsing activity, auction history, or any other data

The extension only accesses Whatnot.com pages to detect auction wins and send them to your local desktop application for printing. This information never leaves your computer.

Desktop Application

The WhatnotAutoPrint desktop application:

  • Processes data locally on your computer
  • Communicates only with your local browser extension
  • Does not send data to external servers
  • Only connects to our servers for authentication and subscription verification (email and subscription status only)

How We Use Your Information

We use the information collected only for running the program and providing subscription services. Nothing more, nothing less.

Specifically, we use your information only for:

  • Managing your subscription account and access
  • Authenticating you when you use the desktop application
  • Verifying your subscription status to enable program features

The Whatnot AutoPrint browser extension requires the following permissions:

  • scripting, activeTab, tabs, background: Required to detect wins on Whatnot.com pages
  • localhost:7778: To communicate with your local WhatnotAutoPrint desktop application
  • whatnot.com: To access and monitor Whatnot.com pages for auction wins

These permissions are used exclusively for the extension's functionality and do not involve any data collection or transmission to external servers.
